Kelli Doss - Co-Creator
Kelli is a talent specialist and has a professional executive coaching practice with a special focus on leadership coaching with an equity, diversity, inclusion lens and on helping nonprofit/education leaders of color to refine and develop their leadership competencies and management practices. She is a graduate of The Equity Lab’s Nexus Fellowship and sits on its Board. Kelli draws on over 25 years of experience focused on serving youth, communities, and urban education systems in Minneapolis, Washington, D.C., and New York City. She received her undergraduate degree from Howard University and her J.D. from Tulane Law School. Kelli worked as a law clerk for two years in Minneapolis, focusing her sights on tackling critical community issues before launching her non-profit career with the Children's Defense Fund. She developed and managed youth programs for the National Black Child Institute and the Harlem Community Justice Center. Kelli has led recruitment and selection, human resources, and partnership development at New Leaders for New Schools and the NYC Department of Education. She was Managing Director of Education Pioneers its NY/NJ office and then became its Vice President, Human Assets. Kelli is currently Chief Talent and Equity Officer at Reading Partners and was formerly Chief Talent and Equity Officer at iMentor where she led the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion work and develops organizational strategy focused on performance management, internal talent recruitment, and culture building.
